Research Scientist/Analyst

This role involves the following responsibilities:

• Participate in meetings with water utility representatives and stakeholders to understand technical assistance needs
• Discern water system needs based on facilitated discussions and capture accurate and thorough meeting notes
• Work independently to conduct research including review of publicly available databases and water system webpages
• Work with water systems to review historical records, identify pertinent data, and perform data entry
• Collaborate with teams of scientists, engineers, analysts, and writers to develop technical products requested by EPA
• Analyze data and synthesize information into existing templates
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, fact sheets
• Prepare visually appealing charts and graphs
• Conduct technical and editorial reviews of written products

Job requirements

• Education: BS
• Required Experience: 5+ years of related experience
• Required Skills and Abilities: technical writing and strong scientific background
• Preferred Skills: strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail
