The Health Promotions Science Department is seeking a full-time Research Program Administrator I. This position will administer and support the management of research projects for Dr. Purnima Madhivanan and Dr. Karl Krupp. The Research Program Administration Officer I will coordinate a variety of activities involved in conducting community-based human subjects research studies, including participant and community partner recruitment and retention, data management, protocol development, student staff training, study fidelity, oversight of research staff, and required regulatory activities.

Duties & Responsibilities- Coordinates and performs day to day operational and administrative activities in support of the Research Programs.
- Facilitates and assists with the following:
- meetings and logistics
- project budgets, staffing acquisition, and procurement of space and equipment/supplies
- standard operating procedures/manual of operations
- project related documents such as informed consent forms, communications, etc.
- Institutional Review Board (IRB) applications, amendments, renewals, reporting, and close-out
- Sponsor reporting and auditing
- Coordinates community and participant outreach, recruitment and retention for the Research Programs.
- Provide assistance in developing and monitoring project participant recruitment and retention strategies including procurement of marketing and promotional materials.
- Facilitates and assists with new and maintains existing community partnerships.
- Attends meetings and community events.
- Serves as liaison for study team and community partners and assists with troubleshooting issues related to on-site community based recruitment and data collection.
- Coordinates data collection and management for research projects.
- Schedules participant data collection appointments.
- Administers data collection via surveys, interviews, and/or focus groups.
- Assists with development and management of databases (e.g., REDCap) for data collection.
- Assists with data entry upon request.
- Distributes and maintains record of participant incentives.
- Archives documents and pertinent files and prepares for storage per requirements.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong project management skills
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment and in a professional manner
- Able to maintain sensitivity with confidential information.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Proficient with the use of cloud platforms (Drive, Box, etc.)
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through experience required.
- One (1) year of relevant work experience required.
- Three years of relevant work experience.
