Where the chemistry happens…
We are currently looking for a Research Chemist/Engineer to work at the Vidalia Research and Development Laboratory, helping the team evaluate results and perform statistical analysis of processes through strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with others. The position will provide laboratory and plant support focused on the product and process development of primarily alumina-based adsorbent and catalyst technologies.
As a Research Chemist/Engineer, You Create Chemistry By...
- Developing and implementing new, improved laboratory tests for catalyst/adsorbent evaluationas well as calculating material balances and running analytical tests on lab/pilot scale samples.
- Preparing new adsorbents/catalysts for customer and R&D evaluation as well as reports suitable for internal or external customers.
- Compiling and evaluating results; statistically analyzing process and laboratory data as well as rigorously managing databases/records of all technical support projects/functions.
- Providing support for troubleshooting and maintaining laboratory equipment as well as developing appropriate Design of Experiments (DOE) to solve project-focused problems.
- Interfacing with sales and marketing group to provide direct customer technical support—including sampling, troubleshooting, data collection.
- Interfacing with manufacturing to assist with process development projects and provide solutions for customer product issues.
If you...
- Have a BS Degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry. Related fields will also be considered.
- Have 2+ years experience in a laboratory and/or production environment is required.
- Have manufacturing knowledge & experience and related experience in catalyst/alumina technology.
- Are proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.Power BI or similar it is a plus.
- Are a very flexible learner and a team player with excellent communication skills.
