WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: The Fors Marsh Program Evaluation and Policy Analysis (PEPA) practice is seeking an experienced, intelligent, and motivated Research Associate to support our our opportunity and mobility research portfolio. Projects in this portfolio focus on producing evidence that can be used to inform requirements for investment disclosures and other policies that promote financial security. The Research Associate will support the research team by conducting analyses and providing administrative support to research projects. This is a full-time client support position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Contributing to the design, execution, and interpretation of research across a variety of quantitative and qualitative methodologies.
  • Overseeing the execution of evaluation projects and/or substantive project tasks, including monitoring workplans and timelines.
  • Coordinating activities of a small government office (approximately 10 staff) including facilitating weekly team meetings, submitting and monitoring conference proposals, organizing project materials, and maintaining Jira project tracker.
  • Preparing written products research reports, presentation decks, and other project deliverables summarizing research methods, findings, and implications.
  • Providing client account management to understand needs, manage expectations, and build long-term relationships.
  • Managing and analyzing large datasets.
  • Providing quality checks on client deliverables.
  • Work as part of a team on a day-to-day basis in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university.
  • Minimum of two years demonstrated experience in program management at a research institution.
  • Minimum of three total years of relevant work experience (which can include the two years in program management stated above).
  • Proficiency in Stata or R (i.e., ability to reliably perform complex coding tasks accurately without oversight, and to structure code in an organized fashion so that other staff can follow it), as demonstrated by advanced coursework in statistics or econometrics, or one year of work experience performing such tasks.
  • Experience analyzing data related to financial securities and investments.
  • Highly organized and proactive.
  • Applicants will be subject to a low-level government security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to sensitive information.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and consent to a full background check due to our federal contract requirement.

Salary: $75,000-$81,000

Location: Remote, United States Residents only
