Research Associate, Process Development
Position Summary
The successful candidate will work collaboratively on the T Cell Immunology Process Development team to support development of neoantigen-specific T cell products. This candidate will primarily contribute to the analytical assessment of in-process samples and process changes for pre-clinical and early-stage cell therapy programs. This role will require close collaboration with the Drug Product Characterization and Analytical Development, and Research teams of the Gene and Cell Therapy group to transfer, adopt, and execute characterization assays of in-process samples and drug products. The candidate will execute and analyze efficient and robust cell-based characterization, and functional assays including Flow Cytometry, cytotoxicity assays, and Immunoassays.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assessing the specificity and functionality of T cells by multicolor flow cytometry
- Execution of functional characterization assays (ELISA, Cytotoxicity assays, and MSD).
- Generating, optimizing, and adopting assays as needed to support characterization of starting materials, process intermediates, and drug products
- Culturing of human T cells and cell lines
- Tracking and compiling samples and results in an electronic notebook and internal reports
- Presenting results to other scientific teams
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in immunology, cell biology, engineering, or related discipline
- A strong interest in T cell Biology and cancer immunotherapy.
- Demonstrated experience with flow cytometry and other immune related assays.
- Enjoys problem solving and challenging scientific questions in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative environment to meet project goals
- Proficient with Microsoft office
Preferred Requirements:
- Basic lab technique and aseptic cell culture
- Experience working with quality control of analytical methods and documentation of SOPs
- Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills
- Software skills : GraphPad Prism, FlowJo, JMP
