Research Assistant - Up To 20% Effort

College of Nursing is seeking a Research Assistant on a research project evaluating biomarkers of Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias in midlife Latinos with Dr. Yamnia Cortes Research Team. The Research Assistant will perform research activities based upon protocols developed by the principal investigator. This position will include some evening and weekend work to allow for data collection from research participants. The position requires a commitment until December 31, 2024. This position is hourly and will have up to 8 hours per week at the hourly rate of $35.

General duties include:

• Assisting with IRB submission and modification.
• Database design and data monitoring.
• Maintain manual of operations.
• Assist with protocol development.
• Quality assurance of data.
• Assist with publications and grant writing.

Required Qualifications:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Accuracy and attention to detail, as demonstrated at an extensive proficiency level.
• Extensive proficiency in Microsoft computer programs, particularly Excel, Outlook and Teams.
• Experience with REDCap data capture software desired.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Experience preparing, submitting, and/or managing federal grants and contracts.
• Working knowledge of university policies, procedures, and regulations.
