Our boutique event management and strategic communications firm is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Research Analyst to support our growth efforts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting in-depth research and analysis on government contract opportunities, market trends, and competitor intelligence. The Research Analyst will play a pivotal role in identifying and pursuing new business leads to drive our organization's growth and success.

Requirements:

  Conduct comprehensive research and analysis on government contract opportunities using tools and databases like Federal Procurement Data System and other relevant platforms.
• Monitor and assess the competitive landscape, including competitor strategies, capabilities, and market positioning, to inform strategic decision-making and proposal development efforts.
• Analyze market trends, government policies, and industry developments to identify potential growth areas and new business opportunities.
• Collaborate with the business development team to develop and refine targeted lead generation strategies, leveraging research insights to inform decision-making.
• Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and briefings on research findings, contract opportunities, and market intelligence to support business development efforts.
• Maintain an up-to-date understanding of government contracting processes, regulations, and procedures to ensure accurate analysis and compliance.
• Develop and maintain a network of industry contacts and sources to gather and share information on relevant market developments and potential opportunities.
• Support proposal development efforts by gathering and synthesizing data, ensuring accuracy and relevance to the solicitation requirements.
• Make BD team aware of industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to stay informed of market trends and gather competitive intelligence.
• Continuously refine and improve research methodologies, tools, and techniques to enhance the accuracy and relevance of research findings.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, market research or relevant related field
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in government contract research, market analysis, or a related field, preferably within the government sector.
• Understanding of federal government procurement processes, regulations, and procedures, including FAR, DFARS, and other relevant regulations.
• Experience using various research tools and databases, such as SAM.gov, FPDS, and other relevant platforms.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex information from various sources and make data-driven decisions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, and CRM systems.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
