Our boutique event management and strategic communications firm is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Research Analyst to support our growth efforts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting in-depth research and analysis on government contract opportunities, market trends, and competitor intelligence. The Research Analyst will play a pivotal role in identifying and pursuing new business leads to drive our organization's growth and success.
Conduct comprehensive research and analysis on government contract opportunities using tools and databases like Federal Procurement Data System and other relevant platforms.- Monitor and assess the competitive landscape, including competitor strategies, capabilities, and market positioning, to inform strategic decision-making and proposal development efforts.
- Analyze market trends, government policies, and industry developments to identify potential growth areas and new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with the business development team to develop and refine targeted lead generation strategies, leveraging research insights to inform decision-making.
- Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and briefings on research findings, contract opportunities, and market intelligence to support business development efforts.
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of government contracting processes, regulations, and procedures to ensure accurate analysis and compliance.
- Develop and maintain a network of industry contacts and sources to gather and share information on relevant market developments and potential opportunities.
- Support proposal development efforts by gathering and synthesizing data, ensuring accuracy and relevance to the solicitation requirements.
- Make BD team aware of industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to stay informed of market trends and gather competitive intelligence.
- Continuously refine and improve research methodologies, tools, and techniques to enhance the accuracy and relevance of research findings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, market research or relevant related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in government contract research, market analysis, or a related field, preferably within the government sector.
- Understanding of federal government procurement processes, regulations, and procedures, including FAR, DFARS, and other relevant regulations.
- Experience using various research tools and databases, such as SAM.gov, FPDS, and other relevant platforms.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex information from various sources and make data-driven decisions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, and CRM systems.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
