Overview:
We are seeking a talented Requirements Analyst to support GovTact and the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) remotely. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in IT programs, particularly in software development projects. As a Requirements Analyst, you will play a crucial role in gathering, analyzing, documenting, and validating system requirements to ensure successful project outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including government agencies and project teams, to elicit, analyze, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
- Conduct thorough requirement analysis to ensure alignment with project objectives, user needs, and regulatory standards.
- Translate business needs into comprehensive and clear requirements documentation, including user stories, use cases, process flows, and system specifications.
- Work closely with development teams to ensure a thorough understanding of requirements and facilitate effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Facilitate requirement review sessions with stakeholders to gather feedback, resolve conflicts, and ensure consensus on proposed solutions.
- Support the development of test strategies, plans, and scenarios based on defined requirements, and participate in testing activities as needed.
- Continuously monitor and track requirements changes, risks, and issues, and proactively communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Provide ongoing support to project managers and technical teams to ensure adherence to requirements and successful delivery of solutions.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to contribute to the continuous improvement of requirements management processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- US citizenship required, with residency in the Lower 48 States.
- Eligibility to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
- Minimum of X years of experience as a Requirements Analyst or similar role, preferably supporting government or healthcare IT projects.
- Proven experience working on software development projects, with a strong understanding of SDLC methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Proficiency in requirements elicitation techniques, such as interviews, workshops, and surveys.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience with requirements management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, IBM DOORS) is preferred.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) are a plus.
