- Source international media for stories that resonate with FoxNews.com’s audience, aggregating with complete and proper attribution
- Pursue original and exclusive stories with headlines and angles in mind, working closely with contacts and sources
- Present all stories, original, breaking, and aggregated, in an accessible, consistent, and compelling style
- Collaborate closely with editors and fellow reporters
- Fill in as needed to program the homepage
- Help to produce stories from our network of international stringers
- Ability to travel and report from the field on short notice
- Arriving to work prepared, with story ideas, pitches and headlines in mind
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field is study is preferred, or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of experience covering the news and newsroom experience
- Author page with easily accessible bylines
- Strong knowledge of AP style
- A clear and crisp writing style
- A strong network of sources in Washington, DC
- A firm grasp of current events and a desire to be precise, quick, and accurate in presenting the news to the vast FoxNews.com & FoxBusiness.com audience
- Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and work under pressure in a fast-paced newsroom environment
- Ability to be flexible and can work on some holidays as needed; possess an “on-call” mentality and be prepared to work under emergency or breaking news conditions
- Experience working with journalists at the international level
- Knowledge of developing SEO-focused content
- PhotoShop and knowledge of video (iPhone) editing skills is a plus
Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $73,000.00-95,000.00 annually for California, Washington, New York City and Westchester County, NY. $60,800.00-79,100.00 annually for Colorado. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
