Kinder Morgan is one of the largest energy infrastructure companies in North America. We own an interest in or operate approximately 83,000 miles of pipelines and 141 terminals. Our pipelines transport Natural Gas, gasoline, crude oil, carbon dioxide (CO2) and more. Our terminals store and handle renewable fuels, petroleum products, chemicals, vegetable oils and other products.
We believe that fuels with a lower-carbon lifecycle, like RNG, are part of the solution to reduce greenhouse gas emissions worldwide. With our more than 70,000 miles of Natural Gas pipeline systems that transport approximately 40% of the Natural Gas consumed and exported in the United States, we are uniquely positioned to transport RNG from coast-to-coast without making enhancements to our existing Natural Gas pipeline network.
Primary purpose:
Monitor and control terminal components such as pumps, compressors, rotating equipment, flare, vessels, tanks, blowers, Natural Gas compression equipment; electrical systems; utilities systems (air, nitrogen, water sump pumps); fire protection, and hazard detection systems; and security systems at an RNG gas processing facility.
Essential Job and Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control terminal components such as pumps, compressors, blowers, Natural Gas compression equipment; electrical systems; utilities systems (air, nitrogen, water sump pumps); fire protection, and hazard detection systems; and security systems. Start, stop and operate engines/pumps and other equipment to maintain designated operating parameters.
- Assist in the planning and performance of maintenance and repairs on compressors, engines, turbines, auxiliary equipment, pumps, process controls, and related equipment.
- Ensure the cost effective and efficient performance of all gas and liquid processing units and associated equipment.
- Monitor quality of product to ensure meeting specifications and takes appropriate actions when out of specification product is identified.
- Notify personnel as appropriate of the status of system operations.
