Job Summary
The Truss Designer is responsible for the accurate design of roof and floor trusses for single-family, multi-family, and commercial projects.
Location: can be remote anywhere in the United States. Prefer is onsite in Lafayette, CO or San Antonio, TX
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Design metal plate-connected wood trusses utilizing Mitek software
- Optimize designs for maximum efficiency
- Review orders, layouts, and data files for accuracy
- Assist sales and production with design service and troubleshooting
- Performs other duties as required
Qualifications
- Minimum high school graduate
- Preferred bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Triss Design
- Working knowledge and experience using Mitek software is required
- Working knowledge of floor and rood systems and the ability to spec out beams and hangars
Compensation & Benefit Information:
$45,000 - 65,000 annually
Bonus/Incentive Pay:
A discretionary annual bonus based on Company and business unit performance may also be provided.
