Job Summary
Participates in the design, development, coding, testing, debugging, and maintenance of software code for FirstFunding business applications. Responsible for middle-tier implementation and integration with backend databases. Works with agile staff to understand software requirements and develops according to specifications to build or modify them. Participates in the development of software user manuals.
Essential Functions
Experience and solid understanding of Agile software engineering practices.
Experience translating software requirements and experience with software design solutions.
Build test cases to ensure the quality testing from quality assurance engineers.
Designs, codes, unit test, debug, and document those applications.
Customizes software based on research and stakeholder needs.
Follow detailed specifications from which programs will be written, designed, coded, tested and debugged.
Must consult with product owners and develop business relationships and integrate activities in a strong team environment.
Monitor and report to management on the status of project efforts, anticipating/identifying issues that inhibit the attainment of project goals and implementing corrective actions.
Required to perform duties outside of normal work hours based on business needs.
Knowledge and Skills/Technology Used
Fluent in multiple application development languages at an expert level
3-5 years’ experience developing with Adobe ColdFusion version 10+
5 years’ experience with web development platforms such as HTML5, JavaScript, and jQuery
Experience with various computer platforms and application environments
Expertise with developing multiple tiers of multi-tiered software applications
Expertise in designing programs and applications
Experience designing application systems
Constantly updating personal technical and business knowledge and skills and mentoring others to increase the knowledge and skills of the team
Strong organizational skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Typical Education
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Typical Range of Experience
Typically 2-5 years of directly related experience
Experience working with distributed team is preferred
Salary Range: $51,500 - $89,500 Annually
This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
