Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Identifies security issues and risks, and develops mitigation plans
- Architects, designs, implements, supports and evaluates security-focused tools and services including project leadership roles
- Develops and interprets security policies and procedures
- Participates in security compliance efforts (e.g., PCIDSS, SOX)
- Develops and delivers training materials and performs general security awareness and specific security technology training
- Performs acquisition and vendor risk assessment due diligence
- Evaluates and recommends new and emerging security products and technologies
- Participates in Tier 2 and Tier 3 security operations support
- Participates in incident handling
- Participates in projects that develop new intellectual property
- Evangelizes security within Company and will be an advocate for customer trust
- Mentors junior members of the team
- Provides technical support to divisions and branches developing security architecture and supporting design and implementation of information technology security systems
- Supports research of new security products and services and supports the rollout of enterprise security solutions that leverage single Department-wide license agreements with new or existing vendors and service providers
- Leads developing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-wide information security capabilities
- Analyzes the enterprise business models and IT systems to determine security risks and risk management considerations
- Defines enterprise- and system-level security requirements
- Proposes technical solutions for systems and applications-level security architecture and design
- Develops security plans, policies and procedures
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent related experience
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- 10 - 15 Years
- 5 years of experience (within the last 7 years) with DoD Information Systems Security and/or Cybersecurity.
- 5 years experience (within the last 7 years) as a Systems or Network Engineer in a production environment.
- 5 years experience (within the last 7 years) creating RMF packages, entering the data into eMASS to obtain a ATO/ATC through NETCOM including all the ancillary artifacts
- Active DOD Secret Clearance
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Experience as an Information System Security Manager (ISSM), Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE), and/or Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO).
- Experience in coordinating and conducting a Security Control Assessment - Validation.
- 5 years of experience maintaining and managing client interface at the senior levels of the client organization.
- Professional Computing Environment Certification
