Coding Integrity Specialist III - Remote-
Responsibilities:
- Review and evaluate hospital inpatient records to assign, sequence, edit, and/or validate ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes.
- Perform coding and/or code/DRG validation across multiple entities.
- Maintain or exceed established accuracy and productivity standards.
- Utilize complete patient medical record documentation in code/DRG assignment, validation, and editing.
- Participate in audits and address coding quality edits and customer complaints.
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in HIM/HIT preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of acute care hospital Inpatient Coding experience required, 3 years preferred.
- Proficiency in ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, MS-DRGs, APR DRGs, POA Assignment.
- RHIT, RHIA, or CCS certification required.
- Must be disciplined and able to meet metrics.
- Residency: Candidates in CA and CO not considered due to WFH and vaccine mandate.
Additional Information:
- Coding test required: 20 MCQ/T/F and 5-7 Open-ended Behavioral questions (90 minutes).
- Salary: $24.61 - $34.46 per hour, based on experience.
