Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Network Security Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in enhancing the security of our network infrastructure, developing secure network solutions, and ensuring the integrity of our cloud services. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, deploy, and maintain our security framework to protect against an ever-evolving threat landscape.
Preferred Umbrella Qualifications:
· Full understanding of various traffic forwarders, client connectors and feature options for DNS-Layer security and Intelligent proxy
· Best practices for policy creation and defining policies for identities (security settings, content categories, app settings, destination lists, block pages, and file inspection, e.g.)
· Experience matching list of supported identities and destination to policies
· Provision user, roles, authentication, logs and API keys
· Proven experience in supported Identity integrations, feature capabilities and required connectors
· Design constraints considerations, pre-requisites, and limitations for identity integration use cases
· Troubleshooting skills around roaming clients in split-tunnel and full-tunnel VPN configurations and constraints for software and VPNs
· Virtual appliance deployment requirements and troubleshooting in Hyper-V, Vmware, Nutanix, or Azure environments
o Rate limiting, ntp servers, umbrella resolvers, DNSSEC support, Dual-NIC support on VA, Anycast, load balancing and Identity association timeouts
· Provisioning subnets for virtual appliance and managing sites, internal networks and policies to site
· Design experience in Hardware Integrations & connectors (ISR 4K, ISR1100, WLAN, SD-WAN, DNA Center, and Secure Firewall, e.g.)
Additional Responsibilities:
· Design, implement, and manage security measures and controls to protect the Cisco Umbrella infrastructure and cloud services.
· Conduct network and security audits to identify potential vulnerabilities and implement corrective actions.
· Collaborate with engineering and product teams to integrate security practices into the development lifecycle.
· Stay abreast of the latest security threats, technologies, and trends to ensure our defenses remain effective.
· Provide expert advice and guidance on network security best practices to internal teams and stakeholders.
· Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain router/switches, AP controllers, firewalls, Cisco end-point security, Cisco umbrella.
· Plan and appraise ongoing assessment of antivirus, application control, firewall, SIEM, VPN, SSL, intrusion detection, and other network components, and policies.
· Experience identifying threats and developing appropriate protection measures.
· Evaluate/recommend new technologies.
· Designs, implements, and maintains security levels to restrict/ block unauthorized access to networks.
· Analyze, troubleshoot, track, and repair complex enterprise systems using change and problem management.
· Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
· Designs and develops integrated solutions to meet the business requirements.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
· years of experience in network security, preferably in a cloud-based environment.
· Strong understanding of network protocols, architecture, and security vulnerabilities.
· Proficiency with security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, encryption).
· Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and services.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
· Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
· Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCNP Security) are a plus.
