Job Description
The primary purpose of this position is to distribute beverage products to assigned customers. The Delivery Driver is responsible for accessing orders from the load on a beverage truck, loading individual orders onto a hand-truck, transferring the order to the customer, and unloading the order.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Report all inventory variances to management before leaving warehouse
- Obtain copies of orders to be delivered
- Complete a pre-trip inspection for all equipment to be used
- Loading order from truck to hand-truck
- Operation of a hand-truck
- Safely moving hand-truck with order into cooler or designated area within retail outlet
- Unloading order from hand-truck
- Greet customer, maintain professional relationship and provide excellent customer service
- Fill all cooler space, shelf space, and displays at the time of delivery
- Price product when required
- Rotate Stock
- Close and lock all bays when not in use and keep keys in your possession while servicing the account
- Collect amount due (money) from account and drop in safe
- Authorized Charge accounts, have invoice signed by customer for proof of delivery
- Complete all scheduled deliveries
- Communicate with area salesman and management regarding all delivery issues
- Complete all driver check in/out and complete end of day Settlement and deposit
- Exercise proper care of all company supplied materials, uniforms, and computer if used. Safely operate a company owned delivery truck
- Other duties as assigned by management
Job Qualifications
- CDL Class B driver's license with less than 5 points
- Able to meet all DOT guidelines
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds or more
