Job description
Executes the operational plan of an engineering task based on engineering designs and work specifications.Utilize knowledge to troubleshoot electrical applications and implement solutions. Install, configure, and troubleshoot PLC systems and related electrical components to maintain day-to-day operations. Read and update electrical drawings. Perform diagnostics to identify root causes of PLC malfunctions, implement corrective actions, and maintain accurate records of PLC programs, configurations, and maintenance activities. Integrate existing automation equipment with new control systems (PLC’s, HMI’s, Robotics, Drives, Servos, and Computers) • Assist in the design, programming, and commissioning of automation projects according to engineering specifications and operational requirements.Adhere to safety protocols and standards while working with electrical and PLC systems. Respond to emergency requests for immediate repairs. Availability to be "on call" as needed.Direct report to the Engineering department with a high emphasis on being a cooperative and collaborative team player with Maintenance, working with multiple teams and multiple layers of leadership. 2 or 4 year technical degree or equivalent experience. 1 to 2 years’ experience in manufacturing environment. Proven understanding of electronics, computer, and automation technologies. Experience with Allen-Bradley hardware and software programming, AutoCad, safety control systems, and Fanuc robotics programming are preferred.
