Form of workUnder the general direction of the IT Supervisor II, incumbent engages in a diverse range of analytical and technical tasks to support various disciplines at the Coastal Commission. The incumbent is responsible for the software platform and application administration of the Commission's instance of RelativityOne (RelOne) Government and will also perform the essential functions as an Information Security Specialist.
The incumbent will work to serve as the Legal Division RelOne administrator to provide technical support and maintain all aspects of application support for this platform. Will work directly with the Coastal Commission's Attorneys, Legal Analysts, and Legal Assistants on responses to Public Records Act requests, discovery requests, and preparation of administrative records for litigation.
Position is responsible for providing Information Security services in support of the Coastal Commission's programs, strategic goals, and business objectives. The incumbent participates in Information Security policy development and support activities including, but not limited to, security compliance, risk management, recovery plans, incident management and event reporting, physical security, and privacy. The incumbent must adhere to all State Information Security and Information Technology policies and standards.

Working Conditions
This position for the California Coastal Commission is located in the San Francisco (HQ) office. The California Coastal Commission is a hybrid workplace and offers telework for all employees. Telework is available for this position in accordance with The California Coastal Commission's Telework Policy and Procedures with a 2 day in-person office work week.

Position requires the incumbent to work independently, exercise good judgment, work cooperatively with others, and complete projects and tasks on time at a level commensurate with the position classification. Develop and maintain knowledge, methods and procedures for supporting the Commission's use of RelOne. Develop and maintain knowledge relevant to Information Security practices, technologies, and of applicable State and Federal and industry regulations and best practices with respect to Information Security. Maintain knowledge of the security threat landscape, security risk management methodologies, and defined security controls. Knowledge of the principles, practices, and policies of the California Department of Technology, Office of Information Security (OIS). Incumbent must maintain confidentiality regarding all legal and Information Security items and the participation in any forensics or discovery activities, or any other situations related to Information Security issues where discretion is required.
