About this role:
The Relationship Manager (RM) serves externally as Archer clients’ strategic partner and advocate. Internally, the RM is accountable for partnering with internal team members, including Service Delivery/Operations, Technology, and Client Service to provide an exceptional, proactive client experience to Archer’s clients. The RM will establish and maintain an intimate, consultative business partnership by responding to client inquiries, driving service delivery solutions, client retention and expansion of the overall business footprint.
The Relationship Manager must bring extensive business knowledge, be motivated to learn and act in the best interest of Archer & our clients, while also being adept at owning client project lifecycle tracking with both internal and external resource teams. The RM will serve as a resource for others on the Client Experience team (including new hires) and participate in the corporate Training and development program. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to ensure a positive client experience. The candidate must be a team player and drive execution across multiple internal teams including Business Development, Implementations, Operations, and Technology.
Responsibilities:
- Develop strong relationships with client ‘Economic buyer’
- Manage client master agreements and list of services
- Manage customer needs, business drivers and service requirements
- Ability to articulate best practices and make business process recommendations
- Drive regular client meetings/calls with project updates, ongoing status, and platform updates
- Expand the scope of existing business relationships
- Coordinate new business development efforts, accelerate revenue
- Act as a mentor for less tenured staff – coordinate training sessions, as required
Position Requirements/Desired Skills:
- Must have at least 10 years of experience in a related financial services role(s)
- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Exceptional client service, advocacy, and relationship development skills
- Expertise in coordinating across multi-functional teams
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks: outstanding organization and follow up skills are a must
- A team player, who can also effectively operate independently as the situation dictates
- Significant experience managing C-suite level relationships
- Expected travel approximately 10- 20%
