Rehabilitation Aide - Acute Care
NewYork-Presbyterian is dedicated to the highest level of rehabilitation care. Among our many world-class services we provide rehabilitation throughout the continuum of care including Acute Care, inpatient rehabilitation and outpatient rehabilitation – all of which helps patients achieve functional independence so they can effectively re-integrate back into the community. This requires the support of professionals from many different healthcare disciplines and specialties. Find out how you can become one of the people who make It possible.
As a Rehabilitation Aide, take part in the continuum of care in all of our various settings from ICU, Acute Care, inpatient rehabilitation and outpatient rehabilitation. Assist in maintaining therapy areas by obtaining rehabilitation equipment and restocking linen and medical supplies. Transport patients, equipment and supplies as required. Provide direct patient care under the supervision of Physical and Occupational Therapists as you assist with the mobility of patients of all ages and diagnoses.
Schedule
Tuesday-Saturday or Monday-Friday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm; schedule to be finalized by management based on operational needs and staffing.
Preferred Criteria
- Acute care experience.
- Six months hospital experience.
Required Criteria
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Knowledge of policies and procedures of Rehabilitation Medicine.
- Demonstrated interest in working with Rehabilitation Medicine patients.
- Knowledge of equipment and supplies required by Rehabilitation Medicine.
