Job Description
ProMedica Bay Park Hospital caters to communities east of the Maumee River. Our campus includes a state-of-the-art community hospital with 91 private beds and a professional office building dedicated to doctors' offices and outpatient rehabilitation, as well as a treatment and diagnostic center. The hospital itself was designed with patient comfort and healing in mind, with wider hallways, single-patient rooms and an abundance of natural light.
nder supervision or physical therapist and/or physical therapy assistant assists with treatment in the inpatient or outpatient settings, performs clerical duties as needed and helps maintain equipment/departmental facilities.
ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Assists with unskilled hands-on care of patients under the direct supervision of a licensed therapist, taking into account age and the condition of the patient. Demonstrates clinical competencies in patient care related tasks
• Performs unskilled patient care and other duties as needed to assist the physical therapist (PT),occupational therapist (OT) and/or physical therapy assistant (PTA) with patient assessments, treatments and meeting productivity.
• Prepares treatment areas, patients and equipment for treatment. Cleans all equipment and areas after treatment.
• Demonstrate basic competency for electronic medical records according to job responsibilities
• Demonstrates professionalism in clinical practice. Understands and abides by ProMedica's mission and values in all interactions with patients, visitors and co-workers.
• Manages DME at designated location
• Maintains established department policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs and safety standards.
• Helps to maintain departmental cleanliness and organization.
• Maintains and cares for equipment and supplies in assigned areas. Reports equipment problems.
• May be required to assist with patent care or clerical duties at any ProMedica Total Rehab location.
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Job Requirements

• Education: High School education or equivalent
• Skills: Basic math, communicate in person and/or via phone, basic computer skills, excellent human relations and oral/written communication skills, operate electrical equipment, maintain logs, maintain patient paper charts/records.
• Years of Experience: 1 year of experience preferred
• Certification: BLS Certified

ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE

• Ability to multi-task and prioritize competing needs.
