Responsibilities
The GIS Specialist position is responsible for a variety of task management and graphic deliverables in support of programmatic environmental services for utility, commercial, and waterfront infrastructure development projects. Duties may include coordinating with internal team members and managers for the preparation of graphics in support of permit applications, erosion and sediment control plans, land cover analysis, slope analysis, and other project related graphics, report writing and other office- and field-related functions. The position requires strong communication skills as the successful candidate will be responsible for coordination across internal project teams.

Qualifications
- B.S. or M.S. degree in geospatial applications, environmental science, environmental engineering, geology, biology or similar field
- 3-5 years experience in GIS applications specifically as they relate to environmental sciences desired. Candidates with fewer years of applicable experience may be considered with salary ranges commensurate with their experience.
- Basic knowledge and demonstrated experience with Section 404/401 regulations, Section 7 of the Endangered Species Act, Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act, wetland delineation guidelines, NEPA, and other related regulatory policies is strongly desired
- Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple complex projects/tasks preferably in an environmental consulting firm setting
- Basic proficiency in ArcGIS Pro
- Experience with mapping of linear projects desired
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work well in diverse groups of people and without direct supervision
