Summary
- Support and research for senior counsels to manage and/or lead in-house and work with outside legal counsels to minimize risks in the North America region and its subsidiaries (US, CI, AI, TN, ARC)
- Conduct fact investigation, review product, and regulation analysis to advise business units of legal risks
- Provide legal services on compliance and regulatory issues to internal clients and respond to inquiries on regulatory matters to advise on and support compliance activities to further business goals and minimize risks
- Advise and support company's strategy in identifying environmental related goals
Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice to internal clients on compliance and regulatory issues
- Fact-finding and preliminary investigations to assess and mitigate legal risks
- Provide support on US/Canada government agency actions, investigations, or inquiries before agencies such as DOE, DOJ, EPA, FDA, FCC
- Communicate with business units and outside counsel
- Assist senior counsels in training business units
- Conduct legal analysis to advise on product compliance, marketing, internal policy, and product safety, as needed
- Regulatory research and assess application to product
- Report to manager on findings and developments
Qualifications
- JD degree from an ABA-accredited law school with 1-3 years combined legal experience preferred
- Must be currently licensed to practice law in the state of New Jersey or eligible to practice in New Jersey as in-house counsel
- English and Korean proficiency required
- Strong legal research and document drafting skills
- Able to attend meetings as scheduled in different time zones
- Able to travel domestically
- Superior analytical skills
- Team-oriented and collaborative
