JOB TITLE: HIGH SCHOOL REGISTRAR
REPORTS TO: Principal
GENERAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Forms and appropriate supplies- update and distribute as needed to staff.
- Assist with automated callers-attendance & obligations.
- Help with safety drills and any other drills that may arise.
- Technology & Printers- Communicate/troubleshoot issues regarding staff e-mail, printers, copiers, phones & computers to appropriate personnel. Help with maintenance of office area, office break room, & office storage clean and organized.
SPECIFIC JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Enroll & Withdraw students
- Helping to collect for outstanding obligations when student withdraws
- Residency affidavits
- Requests for records
- Keep consent to treat & transport forms current & organized
- GED forms
- OSS- inactivate/activate as necessary.
- Data entry for students as needed
- Data entry for student alerts- Medical, legal, parental, etc. Notifying staff as needed
- Wave- Verifying data and maintenance ensuring accurate data
- Progress & report card grades- receive from teacher & verify. Print reports
- Work w/ Counselor’s secretary on communication regarding- test results, schedules, progress reports
- Senior Transcripts for Colleges & Scholarships
- Assist Counselor’s with NC change or grade changes- data entry, correction after appeals or appropriate documentation from administrator.
- Summer School- Compile student names and send letters
- Enter Summer School grades- transcript
- Entering ACT & EOI scores
- Drop out report 4 times a year.
- Comprise quarterly and yearly reports
- Assist Students and parents as needed
- Work with Military Recruiters & Foreign Exchange companies
- Assist Athletics, SRO, Alternative School, Juvenile Officers, Visiting Counselors
- Graduation- Organizing items needed- supplies, etc. work with counselor secretary
- EOY- working with Principal Secretary and Counselor Secretary
- Senior files, diplomas, collection of outstanding obligations
- Assist parents, students & staff with issues as needed.
- Maintain outstanding customer service relations with all stakeholders.
- Distribution of diplomas to current graduates
- Summer requests for transcripts, reading test/driving checks, graduation verification for employment, and transfer requests.

EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma, or equivalent
- Specific knowledge-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: ability to use office software and office equipment, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Google, school-related software, copiers, and fax machines; proficient with English grammar, punctuation, spelling, and vocabulary; and general knowledge of the characteristics and components of the District.
- Specific ability-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: ability to communicate with various groups of people, including communication with parents, teachers, transportation, administrators, and outside agencies; adapting to changing work priorities; meeting deadlines and schedules; setting priorities; working as part of a team; working with detailed information/data; schedule activities, meetings, and/or events; gather, process, and distribute information and data; and public service skills to include congeniality, professionalism, and excellent oral and written communication.
- PowerSchool SIS experience preferred, but not required.
- Bilingual preferred, but not required.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Some lifting, carrying, pushing, and or pulling; Some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; Generally the job requires 90% sitting, 5% walking, and 5% standing.
- May experience constant interruptions, inflexible deadlines, and changes to normal routines.

- 237 day contract
