The Role: VetnCare is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician (“RVT”) to support our Montclair Veterinarian hospital in the beautiful heart of Oakland, CA! The Registered Veterinary Technician position is responsible for ensuring the hospital’s high standards of client and patient care are maintained and that our veterinarians are supported throughout the examination, diagnosis, and treatment phases.
You: You must be skilled at and able to provide exceptional standards of client and patient care, even during challenging situations.
Some of the key responsibilities for the role:
- Provide an exceptional pet family experience from intake to discharge
- Provide a safe, secure, and comfortable as possible pet patient experience from intake to discharge
- Assist with or perform wellness care and advanced tasks such as, radiographs, imaging studies, labs, dentals, humane euthanasia, urgent or emergency triage and support
- Assist and mentor junior clinical support team members
- Professional, consistent, and compliant record keeping
- Assist the doctor on duty as needed
Your baseline qualifications:
- California Registered Veterinary Technician License
- 1+ years’ of hands-on clinical experience
- Professional communication skills, verbal and written
- Proficient with business and veterinary technology and systems
- Ability to occasionally lift and /or move more than 50 pounds with or without accommodations

Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
