Job Description
Lowcountry Urology Clinics is seeking a Registered Pharmacy Tech at our Charleston location.
Primary duties include, but are not limited to:
- Must have exceptional organizational skills and above average computer skills. Works well independently
- Oncology/Urology experience a plus but not required
- Receive medication order from APC physician and enter in the QS1 software to check the eligibility for IOD to fill and dispense medication. If it is denied, research reason for denial, correct or delete order from the software.
- Manage roadblocks of denials for medications ordered and help with changing medications according to the physician’s orders, the insurance and patient diagnosis.
- Monitoring the approval of authorizations of medications ordered and submitted for approval by the insurance company.
- Dispensing medications from the QS1 software (printing label/ patient information, and packaging medication for patient pick up)
- Tracking medications dispensed
- Maintain a spreadsheet that tracks refill dates and patient assistance program status/renewals.
- Manage patients grant fund balance.
- Tracking patients who are on Free drug program.
- Tracking and communicating with patients who receive medication from a specialty pharmacy.
- Reconcile insurance payments and posting them in the QS1 software
- Monitor pricing changes and update QS1 software
- Manage refills to ensure patients are receiving their medications on time.

Salary: From $18.00 per hour
