We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Nurse to join our team. As a School Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing healthcare services and promoting the well-being of students. Duties:
- Conduct health assessments and screenings for students
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Provide first aid and emergency care as needed
- Monitor and manage chronic health conditions of students
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and healthcare professionals to develop individualized healthcare plans
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
- Educate students, staff, and parents on health-related topics
- Promote health and wellness through preventive measures and health education programs
Requirements:
Experienced in the maintenance of acceptable health standards, school health records and the daily and emergency treatment of students’ health issues and injuries.
Current NYS R.N. License and BLS required. BSN preferred not required
- Proven experience as a nurse, preferably in a school or pediatric setting
- Proficient in patient assessment and providing patient care
- Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and healthcare systems
- Experience administering injections and performing IV insertions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Excellent organizational skills for managing medical records and documentation

Pay: $51,978.00 - $90,948.00 per year
