Qualifications:
1. New York State Registered Prof. Nurse License.
- Ability to adjust to building procedures and record-keeping responsibilities.
Duties:
1. Assists the school physician in physicals, visual/auditory screenings, and
examinations of students.
- Administers first aid and emergency treatment to students and employees.
- Arranges to transport sick or injured students or staff to the hospital, home, doctor's office or dentist's office in cases of emergency.
- Orders inventories and oversees the storage of first aid and related health supplies and equipment.
- Reviews with school physician a variety of health factors related to non-attendance and communicable diseases.
- Prepares and maintains health records and reports as required.
- Demonstrates positive interpersonal skills with students, parents, and staff.
- Demonstrates strong organizational skills within a service-oriented health office.
