Seeking a registered Pharmacy Technician for a Long Term Care Pharmacy for the Fulfillment Department that begins as soon as selections and screens are complete. Possible Temp to Hire after a break-in period.
Schedule Details:
- Multiple shifts Mon-Fri 9-5pm and 10-6pm every other weekend 8-4pm.
Required Certifications and skills:
- Applicant must be Registered Pharmacy Technician with the FL board of pharmacy
- Fills prescription items, as permitted by the State Board of Pharmacy, packaging medications for dispensing and for delivery, meeting the accuracy and productivity standards of the pharmacy
- Pull and fill prescriptions in a LTC pharmacy Package bulk medications in unit dose packaging
- Labels products appropriately, including cautionary or auxiliary labels
- Performs other tasks as assigned
- Required: High School diploma or equivalent. Experience in a pharmacy setting and with medical terminology. Ability to operate a computer; ability to recognize and identify medications. Detail oriented; goal oriented, team player, effective oral communication. Pharmacy Technician license.
- ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS:
- Light to moderate physical effort (lift/carry up to 25 lbs.) -Heavier weights with assistance
- Sitting & standing for long periods of time
- Repetitive motions and prolonged computer use
- Working at a fast pace, subject to many interruptions and both physical and mental stress
- All jobs currently require clear and concise verbal and written communication skills in the English language.
