REGISTERED NURSE TRAUMA STEPDOWN (RN - TRAUMA)

Registered Nurse for the Trauma Stepdown Unit will have the following job responsibilities:

• Our Stepdown unit is a patient-care area with specialized monitoring and nursing care for cardiac patients no longer requiring full intensive care but not ready for discharge to a regular unit. We have 39 beds on the unit, all are monitored.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS-

REGISTERED NURSE TRAUMA STEPDOWN (RN - TRAUMA)

Registered Nurse for the Trauma Stepdown Unit must meet the following minimum job qualifications:

• Nursing Diploma or ASN required, BSN preferred
• Current Florida State RN license or compact state RN license
• Current BLS Certification from the American Red Cross (HCA chosen provider) OR American Heart Association is required
• Current ACLS preferred; required within 6 months of hire
• Minimum one year RN experience
• Customer service abilities including effective listening skills. Critical thinkingskills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment
• Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds
• Must have 1 year of Telemetry acute care hospital experience
