JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Summary:
The Trauma Coordinator (TC) is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining a high-quality, evidenced based, cost-effective system of care for trauma patients and their families throughout the continuum of care. The TC works both independently and in collaboration with the trauma program medical director and other members of the health care team and the management staff. The TC is self-directed and self-motivating, plans and conducts work with minimal direction, and reports the progress of work to Emergency Department Leadership and Hospital Quality Data & Analytics Leadership.
Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday, regular business hours.
Required Qualifications:
- BSN prepared RN
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Minnesota
- Currently certified in TNCC and ACLS
- At least three years clinical experience in trauma/emergency care.
- Licensed Registered Nurse
- Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
- Ability to accept and implement change.
- Ability to problem solve and make decisions.
- Analyze and interpret complicated information.
- Communicate effectively with a wide variety of intra-and inter-facility staff and administration using both oral and written communication.
- Possessions of critical thinking, analytical, teaching/coaching and research skills.
