Prescribes, delegates, and coordinates nursing care of patients, and provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.
JOB DUTIES -
- Assessment and identification of patient needs, implementation of appropriate interventions and delegation of nursing care activities.
- Establishes and maintains a plan for the delivery of nursing care, assures that nursing care interventions and activities are directed to resolve problems and performs technical aspects of care competently (aseptic technique, safe equipment operation, patient positioning and patient and staff safety).
- Demonstrate computer literacy and competence in use of existing technology. Works with surgical technologists, orderlies, and other staff to perform post-case cleaning duties.
QUALIFICATIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITY -
Current licensure by the Kentucky State Board of Nursing is required.
One year nursing experience is preferred.
