JOB DUTIES - The RN is responsible for managing and providing nursing care for patient populations on the unit. This includes the immediate, short-term nursing care needs of patients as well as, planning for long-term needs. The KY Nurse Practice Act and established Hardin policies, procedures and standards of practice, determine the nurse's scope of practice.

QUALIFICATIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITY -
- Graduate of school of nursing with current unrestricted KY license required, or higher.
- RN without OR experience would be required to take an online Nurse Essentials Course and complete within one year of hire.
- Requires good clinical, organizational, customer service and critical thinking skills.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred on hire and required within 90 days of hire.
- Flexibility in work schedules, shift hours and job duties are required as well as basic computer skills.
- Prefer recent experience in acute care setting in preoperative or postoperative surgical area.
