Registered Nurse - Step Down

Dunson and Associates is seeking RNs to join our team! You will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of assigned patients.

We have 13 week contracts, with the potential to be hired on full time with Premier Health.

Specialties Include:

• Step Down - Trauma Unit (Inpatient)
• Step Down - Pulmonary Unit (Inpatient)
• Step Down - Head and Neck (Inpatient)
• Step Down - HV Interventional (Inpatient)

Locations available:

• Miami Valley Hospital (Main Campus)

Shifts:

• Nights - 12hr Shifts
  • 3 shifts a week, with every other weekend/holiday

Requirements:

• AT LEAST 1 YEAR EXP-ACUTE CARE EXP (HOSPITAL SETTING) REQUIRED
• EXP WITH PATIENT RATIOS OF 1:6
• EPIC CHARTING EXPERIENCE
• AT LEAST 1 YEAR EXP IN SPECIALITY APPLYING FOR

Responsibilities:

• Administer nursing care to ill, injured, or disabled patients
• Diagnose and establish patient treatment plans
• Monitor and report changes in patient symptoms or behavior
• Communicate with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding patient care
• Educate patients about health maintenance and disease prevention
• Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
• Maintain accurate patient medical records
• Provide advice and emotional support to patients and their family members

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in nursing or other medical fields
• Familiarity with medical software and equipment
• Ability to build rapport with patients
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Current BLS
• Current OHIO LPN License
• Minimum 2 year experience in a large hospital
• Minimum 1 year experience in a Pulmonary Unit/Med Surg
• Covid Vaccine is mandatory or Religious exempt
• Flu Vaccine is mandatory or Religious exempt
