Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care needs
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide coordinated and comprehensive care
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
- Monitor and document patient's condition and notify appropriate healthcare providers of any changes
- Educate patients and their families on disease processes, treatment plans, and self-care techniques
- Maintain accurate and complete medical records
Requirements:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology
- Experience working as a nurse in a doctor's office or ambulatory surgery center is a plus
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems (such as Athenahealth) is preferred
- Proficient in aseptic technique and infection control practices
- Ability to provide care for infants, children, adults, and elderly patients
- Knowledge of family planning methods and counseling techniques
- Experience with procedures such as gastric lavage and alimentation
