Form of workWe are seeking a full-time Vascular Access Nurse for The Inova Fairfax Medical Campus.
**12 hour day shift w/weekend rotation** 8:00am-8:00pm
The Vascular Access Nurses independently place PICC and midline catheters with the Arrow Vein Positioning System "Blue Bullseye" and Bard Sherlock positioning device. The Vascular Access Nurse places lines in both the adult and pediatric populations. The Vascular Access Team places an average of 350 lines per month.
Candidates for this position must have experience placing PICC (peripherally inserted central catheters) lines.

*Requirements :
Minimum of 1 year of experience assessing and placing peripheral access including Peripherally Inserted Central Catheters (PICC), Midline Catheters, and Peripheral IV's
Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing.
If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 24 months of start date.
-BLS for Healthcare Provider Certification required
-Board Certification in Vascular Access (VA-BC) within 1 year of release from orientation.
-RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a RN
-Proficient in English, strong verbal and written communication skills
-Exceptional interpersonal skill and the ability to display a caring demeanor towards others
-Proficient computer skills required
