LICENSED HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONAL - RN
Job Summary:

• Performs assessments/care plans for residents receiving Special Task as required in
• 10A NCAC 13G .0903.
• Communicates all necessary assessment and care plans to direct care staff and SIC.
• Participates in and conducts in-service training for supervisory personnel and all staff.
• Meets with Department Directors at least monthly to discuss departmental problems and possible solutions as well as receiving suggestions from Department Directors on matters pertaining to department operations.
• Reviews and checks competence of work force on a regular basis.
• Maintains employee morale.
• Assists personnel and patients in establishing a home-like atmosphere.
• Maintains a good working relationship with the community, hospital, and other health care facilities and agencies in the community and assures coordination of services through working and transfer agreements.
• Assures good public relations are maintained with the general public.
• Represents the Community in various outside activities and in dealing with various agencies including governmental and third party payers.
• Attends workshops and seminars in order to maintain a current RN License.
• Makes rounds of the Community getting to know residents, family members, and staff.
• Implements facility HIPAA policies.
• Meets with Directors on an as needed basis to discuss areas of concern.
• Attends monthly Q.A. meetings.
• Performs other duties as outlined by Administrator/Administrator-in-Charge.

Job Requirements:

• Must be a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina.
• Must be willing to work with various department directors, residents, visitors, family members, employees, and community leaders.
• Must have the ability to plan, organize, and follow-up on work assignments.
• Must have a sound knowledge of local, Federal and State regulations, and any other laws pertaining to Community operation.
• Must have the ability to make independent decisions and work well under pressure.
• Must have the ability to promote public relations.
• Must complete the "Manual" for How to Complete DHSR 3050 Resident Assessment and Care Plan.
