Position Overview
As an RN for the community you'll assist with day to day nursing duties and assessments for health care services for Assisted Living and Memory Care residents. This position will work in collaboration with Director of Nurse and Assistant Director of Nursing to provide personal care services, assistance, support, evaluation, and supervision to residents and team.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist the communities with pre-admission assessments and any assessments needed within the community as requested.
- Perform day to day nursing duties and tasks at the community as requested by the DON and/or Executive Director.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living. including bathing, dressing, eating, hygiene, and mobility.
- Coordinate services to meet the health needs of the residents and promote wellness such as vendor relationships, expectations, and other contracted services.
- Work with team to develop, update, and implement each resident's service plan. Coordinate services to meet the health needs of the residents and promote wellness.
- Administer medications accurately and at the appropriate time according to physician orders, documenting accordingly.
- In collaboration with DON and ADON, conduct skills fairs at the community.
- Communicate changes in residents' overall condition to the responsible party, physician, DON, Executive Director, and team members.
- Maintain accurate records according to state and federal guidelines.
- Create and maintain an environment for residents, families and guests that is customer-friendly and that values and respects the uniqueness of each individual.
- Have knowledge and understanding of rules and regulations and Policy & Procedures.
- Maintain a positive working relationship with teams at community.
- With support of DON, assume on-call responsibilities and address medical emergencies as they arise.
- Performs all responsibilities under the nursing code of ethics and the nurse practice act.
- Other duties as assigned
Education, Experience and Other Requirements
- RN nursing license in state of employment
- CPR certification
- Basic First Aid Training

- Promote teamwork in providing services to resident.
- State and Federal Guidelines for Assisted Living
- HIPAA requirements
- Nursing standards of practice for older adults
- Skills in nurturing, organization, and interest in working with older adults
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in senior living
