Schedule Details: Day Shift with variable start times: 0730, 0800, 0830 "On-call" requirements every tenth weekend and 1 weekday every other week.

Medical Imaging services are provided at multiple locations including Waukesha Memorial, Oconomowoc Memorial, ProHealth Mukwonago, two cancer centers and many of our ProHealth Care Medical Group Clinic locations. Services include General X-Ray, CT and MRI scanning, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, PET/CT and Ultrasound in both inpatient and outpatient settings. What You Will Do:
The Interventional Radiology (IR) Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive level of care to patients undergoing both diagnostic and interventional procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Provide pre/intra/post procedural nursing care (evaluation, assessment, monitoring, intervention, and education) related to diagnostic and interventional procedures
- Transporting patients to/from IR to day surgery or inpatient unit
- Administration of intravenous and oral medications to patients
- Management of patients receiving procedural medications
- Actively monitors patients during all IR procedures
- Knowledge of diagnostic/interventional supplies
- Participates in life-saving measures such as defibrillation and CPR as needed
- Knowledge of diagnostic/interventional supplies
- Provides nursing support for procedures in CT, MRI and the OR as needed
- Applies nursing theory to the assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of patient responses to health, illness and procedure.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification (ACLS)
- 1-2 years of critical care nursing experience (Intensive Care Unit or Emergency Department)
- 1-2 years Interventional Radiology experience preferred
