Join our Scripps team of Electrophysiology (EP) Prep & Recovery RNs where you will:
• Prepare patients for their EP lab procedure.
• Recover patients post general anesthesia or moderate sedation, returning from:
o Cardiac ablations (Afib, Atach, PVC, VT, AVN, & SVT ablations)
o Pacemaker/ICD implants (including Leadless pacemakers & Subcutaneous ICD's)
o Structural heart devices, such as:
• Left Atrial Appendage Closure Device (Watchman, Lariat, Amulet)
• Assist in noninvasive procedures such as:
o TEE/CV
o Loop recorder implants
o TILT Table Testing
• Recover (occasionally) Interventional Radiology procedures such as:
o Diagnostic Cerebral Angiogram
o Biopsies
o Port placement
o Spinal Procedures
• Assist Cath Lab Prep & Recovery Rooms (occasional and rotating among all staff) with preparing and/or recovering patients for the following:
o Left or Right heart catheterization.
o Peripheral angiogram
o Structural hearts such as:
• TAVR
• Mitral Clip
• Manage vascular access sites
• Management of radial bands and Femostops
• Hemodynamic & EKG rhythm monitoring
• Titrate vasoactive gtts
This is a full time 12 hour varied shift at Scripps Memorial La Jolla with call required. This will be discussed in the interview.

Qualifications
Required:
- 1 year of cardiac PCU or procedural experience with knowledge of cardiac drips required
- BLS and ACLS for Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Must have experience with radial bands, groin management, and Femostops
- Must have experience with care of the critical cardiac patient and care of the post cardiac surgical/procedure patient
- 1 year leadership experience
Preferred:
- Cardiac ICU/PACU experience preferred
- Prep and Recovery experience
- Knowledge of patient focused care delivery
- Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred
