Are you interested in working at Magnet-designated UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital? Only 7% of hospitals nationwide have achieved Magnet designation – and we’re one of them! For more than a century, UPMC Magee has been caring for women through all stages of their lives, and we are looking for the next talented employee to join our team.

The Emergency Department is a state-of-the-art, 22-bed Level 3 Trauma unit that opened to the public in 2014. The ED handles critically ill patients and other emergency medical issues, including OB/GYN, geriatric, and medical-surgical including bariatric, orthopedic, oncology, and stroke patients. The majority of ED nurses at Magee are trained to perform forensic exams for sexual assault as well. Patient volume and acuity are variable and can change quickly, making the ED an extremely fast-paced, unpredictable environment where rapid problem-solving is necessary to address evolving needs and priorities.
