Form of workLycoming College is hiring a Registered Nurse! This position is a key member of our Health Services team. The priority of the position is to perform health assessment of individuals in a primary care setting on campus. They will also work to assist the Director of Health Services in ensuring the health of campus is maintained through educational outreach!

What will I do in this role?
- Provide primary assessment of illnesses and injuries to determine the necessity of referral to other health care providers, including the college physician, counseling services, community agencies (Emergency Departments, Family Planning, STD Clinics, etc.).
- Maintain current documentation of problems and observations on medical records.
- Assess and coordinate all phases of the client’s health care in such areas as general health, health education, contraception, mental health, and chronic disease.
- Assist in planning, implementing, and evaluation of health educational programs and Health Services policies and procedures.
- Corresponds and collaborates with all departments within the college and with the surrounding community to ensure holistic care for students (i.e., Counseling Services, Residential Life, Public Safety and other appropriate referrals to individuals or agencies outside of the college campus.
- Provide surveillance and control of environmental factors which may influence the health and safety of members of the campus community.
What are we looking for?
- Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse License in good standing.
- CPR Certification.
- At least 2 years of nursing experience.
- Ability to work with a diverse student body from a variety of backgrounds.
- Strong computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
This is a part-time, 10-month position (Off June and July) for approximately 20 hours a week.
