Summarized Duties and Responsibilities:
- Daily nursing duties, including specimen collection, blood pressure, observation of patients self-administering medication, orders, observing and recording weights, vitals, etc.
- Order standing labs or labs necessitated by protocol, draw blood if Quest is not on site, record and notify medical staff of findings of relevant diagnostic and laboratory tests; follows up with necessary labs; shares results of labs with medical staff, escalating priority results with appropriate staff.
- Address patients' medical concerns and inquiries; listen and communicate by providing clinical information in a clear and timely manner; requesting information and resources needed to provide care.
- Collaborate on care delivery by including staff, other physicians and management in both service and patient care improvements; treat all members with respect; demonstrate the highest levels of ethical and professional conduct.
- Provides knowledgeable and thorough nursing coverage in conjunction with other medical staff.
- Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of appropriate medications. Regularly reconciles prescribed medications for assigned patients and notify medical staff of any concerns.
- Adheres to Infection Control standards for EDCare. Educates and adheres to regulatory bodies, including but not limited to The Joint Commission, CDC & OSHA regarding monitoring infections in staff and patients.
- Provides patient education regarding side-effects and efficacy of certain medications.
- Timely completion and accuracy of clinical paperwork: treatment plan, progress notes, etc.
- Responsible for maintaining exam room; ordering supplies, maintaining organization, determining supply needs, etc.
- Adheres to, complies, and demonstrates support for the mission and values of EDCare .
- Ensure confidentiality of patient information by creating and maintaining a secure and trusting environment.
- Provide and accept feedback in a respectful manner from all staff. Other job duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Colorado within 60 days of hire required.
- Experience treating patients with eating disorders preferred
- Experience in a mental or behavioral health setting preferred.
- Good oral and written communication skills preferred.
Computer Skills:- Minimum of beginner skills in Microsoft Office suite.
- Must be able to efficiently learn and effectively work within an electronic medical records system.
- Must be able to efficiently learn and effectively work within various software products.

Physical Demands and Environment:
Sitting frequently, standing occasionally, walking occasionally, talking frequently, hearing frequently, seeing constantly, reaching with arms and hands occasionally, crouching occasionally and using fingers to operate computer keyboard. This position requires lifting/carrying up to 10 pounds occasionally.
Environmental conditions of this job include but are NOT limited to:
99% inside, 99% normal temperature and 99% normal noise as expected in a medical office environment.
