Job Summary and QualificationsWe are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Cath Lab Neuro/IR RN for our facility to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. What You Will Do In Your Role:
*The roles and responsibilities of the nurse would involve direct patient care delivering conscious sedation, administering cardiovascular and critical care IV medications, hemodynamic monitoring, and managing critical care high acuity patients in interventional invasive procedures.
* You will assist in all aspects of the procedure except for the use of radiation producing equipment.
* You will be responsible for the maintenance and security of the department’s medication supply, monitoring of patients receiving conscious sedation, and keeping appropriate medical records relating to patient care.
* You will provide all imaging personnel with in-service education and training relating to patient care and patient care devices.
* You will actively communicate with physicians, nursing units, and family members concerning the patient’s well-being, exam status and care, and will perform appropriate patient teaching as needed.
* You will be responsible for on-call participation.
What qualifications you will need:
* One-year critical care experience is strongly required as well as previous radiology, Neuro IR/Cath Lab nursing experience.
* Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing is required.
* Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
* Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date)
* Current American Heart Association BLS/ACLS Certification is required.
