Registered Nurse (Med-Surg) - Day Shift

Duration: 3 months (with possible extension)
Shift: Day 6:45a to 3:15p. Need to be available Every other Full Weekend (Saturday and Sunday both)
Guaranteed Hours a week: 40
Work attire: Scrubs
Start date: ASAP

• This client does not entertain requested time off within the first 13 weeks contract.
• Need to be fully vaccinated with Covid 19 vaccine.

General Summary of Registered Nurse Duties:

• The Registered Nurse provides direct care to patients between 20 - 100+ years of age with chronic and acute medical illness.
• Must assess, plan, implement and evaluate the direct and indirect care needs of patients.
• Collaborates and cooperates with all disciplines in development of an inclusive plan of care for patients.
• Provides direction and supervision to other staff.
• Provides meaningful documentation including Patient Assessment, Plan of Care, Progress Notes, Discharge referrals and other required “charting” to maintain complete and accurate medical records.
• Accurately communicates information about patients to appropriate health care professionals (M.D., Social Service, Dietary; other nursing staff, etc.).
• Participates in patient care and unit conferences, quality improvement activities, and change of shift patient reports.
• Prepares appropriate assignments for nursing personnel based on patient needs and staff skills; assists in the orientation of new personnel.

• • De-escalation/ Restraints as last resort
• • Document in EMR
• • Admissions/Discharges
• • Shift Lead (charge nurse)

Experience Required:

• Must have at least One year of full-time experience as a Registered Nurse (any specialty) in a recognized hospital, clinic or medical facility.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of MA.
• Must have an active CPR/BLS certification.
• Must be fully covid vaxxed.
