Position Summary:
We are currently hiring a Registered Nurse who is bilingual in English and Bengali/Bangla or Spanish to join our primary health care team in the Bronx. As an RN with Urban Health plan, you will provide patient care to families in an outpatient setting at our Peninsula Health Center.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associates Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor's in Nursing is a plus
- Valid NYS Registered Professional Nurse licensure required.
- Bilingual English/Bengali/Bangla required or English/Spanish
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of EMR, a plus.
Key Duties:
- Observes patient conditions. Assesses and records symptoms, reactions and progress related to medications and/or vaccinations.
- Provides education to patients and families.
- Distributes non-prescription medication as requested my provider.
- Assists providers during examinations and treatments.
- Triages patients based on acuity.
- Administers medications and vaccines.
- Checks equipment, logs, and medical kits. Orders supplies as needed.
- Maintains health records by documenting patient contact and updating patient profile.
Starting Compensation: Minimum $74,000 per year; Maximum $91,000 per year
