For more than 75 years, Door County Medical Center (DCMC) has been the leader in health and wellness for Door and Kewaunee counties. Our integrated medical center provides a wide range of specialties, including Primary Care, the Women’s and Children’s Center, the Door Orthopedic Center, Behavioral Health, General Surgery, the Door County Cancer Center, a skilled nursing facility, and rehabilitation services facilities among others. With its main campus in Sturgeon Bay and satellite clinics and rehabilitation services facilities in other smaller communities, DCMC provides expert care, close to home. The Registered Nurse coordinates and administers quality patient and family care that is compassionate, holistic, respectful and value-driven. Has confident communication skills and acts as a patient advocate. The RN utilizes the nursing process to perform assessment of the patient’s physical, psychosocial and spiritual needs; planning, development and implementation of a multi-disciplinary plan of care; and evaluation of the patient’s response to care. The RN will strive to excel in skill performance, personal growth and professional excellence.
Education Required: Graduate of an approved school of nursing, BSN preferred.
Credential/Licensure Required: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of employment; Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum (TNCC) or Advance Trauma Life Support (ATLS) within one year of employment; Pediatric Course encouraged; ENPC or PALS.
Shift: Working 30 hours a week, primarly on the Day shift (6:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.) with an occcation PM shift (12:00 p.m.- 12:00 p.m.) also rotating weekends and holidays.
