JOB DESCRIPTION
The Cardiovascular ICU is a12-bed unit that has medical and surgical cardiothoracic and vascular patient populations. This includes patients who have experienced acute cardiac and vascular events such as myocardial infarction, undergone open-heart surgery, and those requiring surgical or interventional strategies to restore circulation. This unit is also nationally recognized by reaching the top-25 percent in the nation for patient experience in 2022!
As a Registered Nurse in the CVICU, you will be responsible for performing patient centered, safe, effective, equitable, timely and efficient patient care based on the specific needs of the patient populations served, communicating effectively with patients, families, and the Care Team, participating as an effective unit and nursing department member and establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other health care team members across the organization.
Work Schedule:0.7-0.75 FTE Day and Night shifts available
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in Nursing
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the State of Minnesota
- CPR for the professional rescuer or BLS for healthcare providers
Preferred Qualifications:
- BSN/MSN strongly preferred and generally expected that BSN/MSN is obtained within 5 years of hire
- One year of acute care RN experience is strongly preferred
- ICU RN experience is strongly preferred
