Shifts: 12 Hours (Varying)
Job Description: We are currently seeking a skilled GNA/CNA to join our team at our long term care center in Oakland, MD. The ideal candidate will have a valid GNA or CNA state certification, BLS certification through AHA, and prior experience working in a long term care setting. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and insurance benefits offered.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting residents with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and eating
- Providing emotional support to residents and their families
- Monitoring and documenting vital signs and other important information
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
- Maintaining a safe and clean environment for residents
- Assisting with the admissions and discharges of residents
- Communicating with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care
Requirements:
- Active GNA or CNA state certification
- BLS certification through AHA
- Prior experience working in a long term care setting preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work 5 8-hour shifts or 2 12-hour shifts and 2 8-hour shifts
