JOB TITLE:Cath Lab RN
REPORTS TO:Cath Lab RN Manager
POSITION SUMMARY: The Cardiac Catheterization RN is a registered nurse with advanced training and knowledge of cardiovascular and peripheral vascular system. A Cath Lab nurse performs a variety of duties may include but not limited to; circulating, scrubbing, and monitoring cases for diagnostic and interventional procedures for cardiac, carotid, peripheral, permanent and temporary pacemakers, ICD implants, EP studies, and IABP insertions. Performs all other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Graduate of accredited Nursing Program preferred. BSN preferred. One (1) year Cath Lab experience is preferred. IABP, Angiojet and IVUS experience prefered. Knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring and x-ray equipment preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Current California RN license and BLS required. ACLS certification within 90 days of hire or status change. Basic Dysrythmia within 120 days of hire or status change. RCIS prefered.
